Relief and Restoration
Counseling Services
Joining your journey
I see myself as a guide, honored to join you and your family on your journey. My goal is to be a source of relief in your wilderness. I want to support and cheer you on in helping you find restoration to continue your journey!
How I guide therapy
I work to build connection and be present with you while discussing your goals. Then, we collaborate on the practical and mental health approach to help achieve those goals in an appropriate timeline. In doing the work together, you learn how to use tools and resources that will guide you into your next season of life.
Let’s travel together in this season.
What is?
-
An event or circumstance that overwhelms your ability to cope.
Two people can go through the same experience, one having trauma and the other not.
Big “T” trauma instantly overwhelms your ability to cope. Little “t” trauma slowly overwhelms your ability to cope.
I cannot take away your trauma, but I can help you heal as we process your trauma. I will help you move from being defined by your trauma, to defining the person you want to be.
-
A chronic and compulsive need to use a substance or perform a behavior.
Even if you don’t have the addiction, you are still powerless over their addiction.
Connection is the opposite of addiction.
I cannot take away the addiction, but I can provide a path where you can choose freedom in recovery.
-
Is when we experience loss, absence, or death.
You will share being overwhelmed, and we will share your burden. You are not okay, and we will realize that is okay. You will ask for comfort, and we will sit in the discomfort. You don’t know what to feel, and we will let in all the feelings.
Grieving alone leads to numbness, but grieving with others will lead you to healing.
I cannot take away your grief, but I can help you choose how it defines you.
-
The conscious or unconscious misuse of religion, faith, or sacred authority to exert power, manipulate, or cause harm by an individual or system.
This abuse regularly causes big “T” and little “t” trauma as it can include emotional, physical, sexual, and verbal abuse.
I cannot fix what happened, but I can help walk you through healing.
I will provide a safe space where you can choose what healthy spirituality looks like for you.
